Pancakes Recipe
Fluffy & Tasty
4 Servings – 8 Pancakes – (2 Each Serving)
Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour, (spooned and leveled)
4 Tbsp. sugar
4 Tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. sea salt
1 cup milk
4 oz. butter (salted or unsalted) melted or 4 Tbsp. of vegetable oil
2 large eggs
Assorted toppings: Fresh fruit (berries), maple syrup, honey, jams or preserves, whipped cream, chocolate syrup and powdered sugar (for dusting).
STEP 1
In a medium bowl or large mixing jug, whisk together milk, butter (or oil), and eggs. Add dry ingredients to milk mixture, whisk into a batter (do not over mix, a few small lumps are fine).
STEP 2
Heat your Steam Plus Pan over medium heat. Add: butter, oil or spray if wanted (but it is not required), using a pastry brush or paper towel carefully wipe (what you choose) around the cups. Add: ½ cup of pancake batter into each of the 4 cups.
STEP 5
Very important: Cook until surface of the pancakes have many bubbles and quite a few have burst, this will take about 2 / 3 minutes. (Depending on your cooker. Be careful pancakes aren’t burned).
How to turn your pancakes (because they are thick): turn carefully) using two spatulas, one to lift the pancakes and one to hold the top, lifting and sliding at the same time. Take the pancake to one side of the cup, allowing the excess batter on the top, to run back into the cup and turn your pancake over. (they will start to rise as soon as you turn them)
When they are a beautiful golden brown on both sides transfer them to a plate. Add fruits and berries, dust with powder sugar and syrup, or your choices.
